  Some customers often say that because the terminal's operating environment is rather harsh, it is basically constantly vibrating. What kind of LCD screen can be used for a long time in a vibrating environment? ?

  When encountering this kind of problem, we will first consider the structure and connection mode of the LCD screen. In fact, the display part of the LCD screen has nothing to do with vibration. As long as it is not hit or broken, the LCD screen display will not be affected. However, if the structure and connection mode are not suitable, the connection part may be dislocated and loosened under long-term vibration.Move, resulting in poor liquid crystal display.

  Then, what we must know is the type of conventional LCD screen structure and connection methods.

  Structurally speaking, LCD screens are usually divided into COB and COG structures. Simply put, COB belongs to the external driver chip and COG belongs to the internal driver chip, so relatively speaking, COG structure is more suitable for use in vibration environment.

  Generally speaking, there are conductive adhesive strips, heat seal connector, FPC cables and metal pins.

  Among the connections, the connection mode of metal tube needle and FPC is more suitable for vibration environment. Metal tube is commonly used in segment code screen, which is directly welded on the circuit board, so as long as it is not directly impacted, there will be basically no problem.

  Even FPC cables are commonly used for dot matrix screens and color screens with COG structure, which are also suitable for vibration environment. However, FPC can be divided into welding type and plug-in type. The welding type is directly welded on the circuit board, and the plug-in type is inserted into the seat on the circuit board, so relatively speaking, the welding type is more suitable for vibration environment. This will also be taken into account when designing LCD screens. According to the customer's usage, the welding type FPC will be preferred in vibration environment.

  Of course, the plug-in FPC is not unsuitable. When customers choose the plug-in FPC, they should choose the connector with better quality, or modify the shape of FPC, and even add the gluing process to ensure that it is foolproof in actual use.
